Hope Renewed

March 7, 2018 By Rachel Lee 11 Comments

God still speaks today. He offers words of life and hope to all who will listen. In this short devotion, my prayer is that you'll hear the heart of the Father towards you- His daughter,, as He speaks words of affirmation over you. #hope #godspeaks #affirmation #devotions

Raising Kids Who Are Kind

February 27, 2018 By Rachel Lee 33 Comments

As #parents, we are given the awesome #responsibility of #raising up the next generation of #leaders, in this nation. We need to be a people motivated by #compassion. And we need to #teach our kids to be likewise. #Helping our #kids to recognize the signs of exclusion, and giving them practical ideas of how they can exhibit #kindness is a good start!

Last week my kids’ school hosted a family movie night, showing the movie, Wonder.

If you’re not yet familiar with this movie, I cannot recommend it enough.

Wonder is a movie that follows the life of a fifth grade boy, born with a craniofacial difference, who attends a public school for the first time. It is an inspiring movie with a heart-warming message about acceptance, kindness and friendship.

Between the most recent school shooting in Florida, and the new release of the movie Wonder, it has sparked several healthy discussions with my kids about the importance of kindness.

I think it’s safe to say that our world could use a little more kindness. Don’t you?

Our world could use a little more kindness. #truth #bekind #chooselove #teachcompassion Share on X
